Rain is Good Luck!

Sometimes a love story begins with rain and ends in rainbows, and for these two that was just the case. Rachel and Dylan are absolute angels of humans, they met while working at a hospital and knew it was fate from the start. These two lovebirds enjoy all things outdoors, which is perfect in upstate New York! Some hobbies they share include biking, kayaking, hiking, the list goes on! When winter strikes you can find them snuggled up and enjoying takeout, my kind of people!! Their love is timeless, and I just adore all of the big aspirations they share with each other for the future.

My heart exploded when I found out they were tying the knot in her parents backyard! She envisioned her wedding there when they purchased their new home, and better yet…no venue cost! Win win! Keeping things intimate and cozy. Little did we know we were in for a rainy surprise, more like a downpour for most of the day! Rolling with the punches was the only way to go here, and boy did we! Rachels dress was all muddy and wet, but she tore up the dance floor without a care in the world. After dinner the rain cleared up and we were all taken back with a DOUBLE rainbow, yes you read that right!! All of their guests paused and watched as the sky lit up for these two newlyweds.

When planning for your big day, it seems silly to plan for the unexpected but sometimes that’s the way it goes. Nobody has control over the weather, but we all have control over our attitude and mindset! Since this wedding began with rain and ended with a rainbow, we decided to book a wedding attire session for a later date. This is always a great idea, and something a photographer should be happy to offer, if the weather takes control of the day a bit! Cheers to the chillest, and now luckiest, couple around!
